Our philosophy is simple; “We handle the details; you enjoy the party”. We will help you from the planning stages of your event all the way through the actual event itself. We will guide you through a structured step by step process to ensure a successful and memorable event for you and your guests.

PLAN MY EVENT

The Room

Our private dining room is located on the second floor of the restaurant and directly overlooks historic Main Street. Unfortunately, we do not have an elevator so please keep this in mind if you have guests that might not be able to handle stairs. The décor of the room is consistent with the rest of Jimmy Madison’s juke joint feel with exposed brick and wooden beams that truly give us an atmosphere like no other. The room will hold up to 50 people for a cocktail style event or 40 people for a dining event.

Table Seating & Floor Plan

We offer 60’ round tables that will seat 6-8 guests per table. Our five-table layout will seat 30-40 guests and our four-table layout will seat 24-32. We do not have seating options for more than 8 guests per table, this helps ensure a smooth dinner service for all guests as well as adequate space for staff members to effectively assist all guests.

Luncheons / Business Meetings

We can accommodate up to 40 people for full table service or buffet style events. Any function with more than 20 guests must have a select menu. You may choose up to 4 food options from our luncheon banquet menu or select buffet items. Luncheons generally will range in price from $10-$15 per person.

Cocktail Service Style

We can accommodate up to 50 people for a cocktail style event including space for a hors d’oeurve table. Any cocktail style event requires a minimum food order of $300 from our cocktail banquet menu. Jimmy Madison’s offers a wide variety of food options for these types of events. The cocktail style events are much easier to plan and can be more cost effective in certain situations.

Dinner Service Style

We can accommodate up to 40 people for a full table service or buffet style events. Any function with more than 20 guests must have a select menu. You may choose up to 3 food options from our dinner banquet menu, or select buffet items. Dinner service style events generally will range in price from $15-$23 per person. Additionally, we do require that all food be paid with one check and may suggest pre-ordering based on the menu that is selected.

Alcohol / Beverage Service

We offer a full bar for beer, wine and mixed drinks. Guests may or may not wish for alcohol to be included with their event. If you prefer your guests to be responsible for their own beverages alcohol may be on separate guest checks however, 18% gratuity fee will be automatically added to each separate check.

Depending upon the style of event that you are organizing the associated cost will vary. However, the following is a basic list of expenses that you should expect in the planning stages. We do not offer any discounts for private parties or special events.

Minimums & Room Fees

Jimmy Madison’s offers private events for guests of 20 or more only. We will gladly work with groups under 20 however, we might not be able to accommodate you in our private room.

We charge $100 room fee for luncheon style events. This includes setup, breakdown, and linen service.

We charge a $150 room fee for dinner style event Sunday-Thursdays. This includes setup, breakdown, and linen service.

We charge $200 room fee for dinner style events on Friday & Saturdays. This includes setup, breakdown, and linen service.

If guest attendance of your event is 90% or greater than the confirmed guest count, we will apply the room fee toward the final bill on the night of your event. If attendance is less than 90% of the confirmed guest count you are responsible for the room fee in addition to your final bill.

To reserve and hold a private event we require a signed contract outlining the event and secure payment for the room fee.

Staffing your Event & Service Fees

To ensure that your event is properly staffed we use a formula of one server for every fifteen guests. Gratuity expense will be based on a minimum fee of $50 per server or 18% of the total bill whichever is greater. We must have a confirmed guest count for your event no later than ten days prior for staff scheduling and culinary planning.

Taxes

All taxes will apply including local meals and sales taxes for a total of 11.8%.
